REVIEW ON LEMON TART
The place Chocolate Del Mondo is a chocolate dessert restaurant towards the upper end of Burwood road.Though it has many chocolate desserts, they have a lot of cakes. Some of these cakes are completely chocolate while others are not. My first time entering the place, I bought a simple lemon tart. The lemon tart looked like a small of mango gelato sitting on a tart with a chocolate rim. What I liked about this place is that they did not try to overload the chocolate on all their cakes. The lemon filling was really sour compared to the slight sweetness in the tart base. There wasn’t a thick, plastic feel comparing to the many other lemon tarts sold elsewhere when you first bite into it. This gives a fresh taste along with the crumbly biscuit of the tart. It was simply presented with melted chocolate for decoration which could be eaten with the tart. Though the cakes may been slightly expensive, I believe it is worth the money to eat a freshly made cake. The lemon tart for me was too sour, but overall it tastes great when comparing to other lemon tarts.
I would give this dessert, the lemon tart, a rating of 7 out of 10 and I can’t wait to go again and try their other desserts.
